Michael Giacchino's scoring exercise

About a year ago, Michael Giacchino (composer for Lost, Star Trek movies, Pixar films, etc.) posted on Twitter:

"Here’s an old assignment I composed MANY years ago while enrolled in the UCLA film scoring extension program taught by Don Ray (RIP). He had us re-score a scene from the old Hawaii 5-0 (of which I am still a huge fan) [this is from Highest Castle, Deepest Grave]. It was my first time with a live orchestra."
