Flashback - movie review

The movie Flashback stars Kiefer Sutherland as an anal FBI agent who has to transport Dennis Hopper, who is some 1960s radical, from San Francisco to Spokane to be tried for some insignificant "crime" he committed 20 years before in the 1960s ... the movie was made in 1990.

The first hour or so of this movie is quite funny, actually.

But then it goes all to shit. They are traveling by train and are supposed to transfer to a second train in some rinky dink Oregon town, the train from that town goes to Spokane.

When they get to this town, Hopper scams Kiefer and they switch roles. But the local sheriff is a jerk making trouble.

They escape from the sheriff and then we find out, in a huge twist, that Kiefer used to live in this area at some commune where his parents were ultra-hippies.

This is so stupid!

They eventually get back on the train to Spokane, but you hear that this train is going to "Canada" and you can soon jump off the train at some famous location in Canada where draft dodgers also jumped off during the Vietnam War.

Hello, that would be AFTER Spokane!

What?!?!?! What happened to the State of Washington which is in the middle of all this?

I couldn't believe it...

Sort of a feel-good movie if you don't want to concern yourself with things like geography.
