"And years later, MacLeod still was getting stopped on the street by fans who admired his work as Honolulu drug pusher “Big Chicken” in two first-season episodes of the CBS crime drama Hawaii Five-O."

RIP to the greatest baddie in all of FIVE-O.

From all accounts Gavin was the nicest guy in real life.

epaddon - thanks for sharing that video, that's a wonderful interview.

I'm sad to hear about his passing. Not only was he Big Chicken, but he was Murray on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" but I remember him most as Capt. Stubing on "The Love Boat."

    RIP, Mr. MacLeod.

This interview chunk, which I'm sure I have seen before, confirms the fact that The Box was supposed to be broadcast after Six Kilos. I spent some time today rewriting my review of The Box to discuss this...

Want to pay my respects here for Gavin McLeod. Ironically, my first recollections of Mr. McLeod were as the Captain on the Love Boat. My sister was about 4 years older than me and roped me into watching the Love Boat and some other shows. After awhile, I enjoyed watching the Captain, Doc, Gopher, Isaac, etc. The Love Boat had the similar magic as Classic HFO. Excellent acting and cast. Usually good stories. In the mid to late 1980's, I started watching Classic HFO usually with my Grandma and Sister. That's when I 1st noticed "Big Chicken". A flamboyant character and criminal with hip lingo and early balding. Mostly bald. He was great in his HFO appearances and especially in "The Box." Gavin like many of the recent HFO alumni who passed had a strong longevity in acting and respected careers. Hopefully, Big Chicken from Seattle a cult FAV on Mr. Mike's forum will give a few words later. RIP.
