This morning there is news on Facebook that Sharon Farrell passed away ... in May of this year!
This news suggests that her son kept this information secret and it was released in a FB posting by one of her other relatives.
If you go to Farrell's Wikipedia page, this "other relative" supposedly updated her information (like the date of her death), but this doesn't mean anything, because anyone can edit Wikipedia pages, often creating bogus information. The postings at Wikipedia are subject to editing by "knowledgeable people" who will either correct or delete the information later.
If you look up Farrell by doing a Google search for her name, there is virtually nothing right now, though this news supposedly "broke" within the last day. The news has been picked up by a couple of WWW sites which are kind of insignificant. There is nothing at sites like CNN so far, for example.
The fact that someone wanted to keep info about her death off the radar is not a new concept. When Lee Paul, the tall actor who appeared in the episode Skinhead, passed away, there was similar confusion, which was resolved when Paul's wife finally cleared things up somewhat after the fact. Paul's dates were June 16, 1939 – September 22, 2019.
I had e-mail contact with Farrell almost exactly three years ago, when I asked her for the phone number of stuntman John Thorp who she appeared with at the 1996 H50 convention in Burbank.
i'm sure if there is updated news about Farrell which is not "fake," we will find out soon...
