    The following are some press releases for upcoming shows. No specific date for these shows has been announced yet.

    When Diamond Head erupts for the first time in 70,000 years, McGarrett single-handedly redirects the lava away from Kamekona's shrimp truck using an earthmover. Meanwhile, Grover has to contend with his son having an outbreak of acne which will keep him from having a positive experience at his high school prom. Episode title is "Hehena ma ka honua" (Hawaiian for "Madness on earth").

    =====

    After a massive hurricane with 200 mph winds is forecast to hit Oahu, McGarrett decides to stop the storm using a nuclear bomb left over from last season's Russian submarine. Similar to another season finale (#5), he flies the bomb miles off shore to detonate it. Meanwhile, Danno is disturbed to find an empty pregnancy kit box in his daughter Gracie's garbage can. Episode title is "Nā makani o ka pō‘ino" (Hawaiian for "Winds of disaster").

    =====

    In this Eddie-centric episode, McGarrett keeps his dog with him all the time after he gets several hang-up calls to his house which are later traced to a mobile veterinary euthanasia service. Later, during a luau at McGarrett's place where the guests include the Governor and the Honolulu Chief of Police, Eddie digs up a bone which exposes the money from Kamekona buried in the back yard. Episode title is "Ka hoaaloha o ke kanaka" (Hawaiian for "Man's best friend").

    =====

    Wanting to be part of Five-0 because of their freewheeling lifestyle rather than a cop, Duke Lukela takes the members of the "ohana" at headquarters hostage, demanding McGarrett make him part of the team. Meanwhile, Tani goes to Adam's house because the two of them have the day off. Adam is not there, but Tani instead runs into Kono, who is back in town to arrange moving her belongings to the mainland now that she and Adam are divorced. Kono still has a soft spot for her husband, though, because she suspects something between Tani and Adam, with the result a huge cat fight follows. Episode title is "Nā pilikia ma nā wahi apau" (Hawaiian for "Trouble everywhere").

    McGarrett and Tani are summoned to the Governor's. The Governor is pissed by some of Tani's recent antics in dealing with suspects and tells her so. Tani's reaction is to leap over the Governor's desk and punch her in the mouth, then trash her office. McGarrett is horrified. Episode title is "No ke aha lā wau i ho‘olimalima ai i kēia kanaka pupule?" (Hawaiian for "Why did I hire this crazy person?")

    =====

    An incident of sexual harassment at a senior citizens' home has the Five-Zero team investigating (don't ask me why). The two featured stars are Norman Lloyd (age 104) and comedic legend Betty White (98 years). White's character has some good lines when she has to deal with the "beefy" McGarrett. There is a serious side to the show, however: the Five-O team uncovers a plot to assassinate another of the home's residents, a former Mafia kingpin played by Nehemiah Persoff (age 100), who appeared in 6 episodes of Classic Five-O. Other guest stars include Charo as a nurse and Lee Majors as manager of the residence. Episode title is "Ola ka po'e kahiko" (Hawaiian for "Old folks at home," literally "Lives of the ancients").)

    =====

    Gerard Hirsch returns to the islands after setting up more franchises for his crime cleaning business on the mainland. He is distraught because Kono is not there, and hangs around Adam complaining about her absence. This upsets Tani, who wants quality time with Adam herself. Eventually Tani is so fed up she escorts Hirsch at gunpoint to the airport and puts him on a plane back to Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Nahele is upset because someone stole his auntie's almost-full shopping cart during her recent trip to Foodland. McGarrett is hard-pressed to think of someone who can deal with this issue. Later, while the entire team including McGarrett is out of the office, a group of Leutonian terrorists attack the building. Only Pua Kai, who was there on business, is available to deal with them, and he holds them off for several hours thanks to the well-stocked armory. Episode title is "Nā mo‘olelo e ho‘owahāwahā‘ia," Hawaiian for "Stories that are ridiculous" (literally "Stories to be ignored").)

    =====

    Eddie accidentally eats some Viagra that McGarrett left lying around and then wreaks havoc in the neighborhood, which is rather strange, because Eddie has been neutered. Episode title is "Ki‘eki‘e ka lā‘au a ‘oi inā paakiki ke makani," Hawaiian for "The tree is tall even if the wind blows hard."

    Interesting! I'm looking forward to all of these.

    Coincidentally, an insider e-mailed me another planned episode for the 2020-21 season.

    He pili āpau wale nō ("It's all relative"): McGarrett's sister Mary comes back to Hawaii in order to pitch her new multilevel marketing weight loss program, but is disappointed to find that Jerry, the most overweight member of Five-Zero, has quit the team. She attempts to sell it to Grover, who simply mutters, "What, you take me for a fool? My woman loves every ounce of me!", before walking away in disgust. Tani's brother Koa develops an addiction to Krispy Kreme donuts after a location opens two blocks from his apartment, and Tani finds herself with no choice but to call in some favors with the health department to get it shut down. Danny's mom (Melanie Griffith) comes to Hawaii and falls in love with a much younger and troubled man, disgraced former DEA agent Richie Gormican (Jesse Johnson, Don Johnson's son). When Danny objects to this outrageous relationship, his mom simply replies, "You're right, but for some reason I'm really into him." Grover's loser brother Percy Jr. gets into a mess when he develops a new potato chip which is an instant hit, but it turns out that it also gives people shooting diarrhea. The situation is made worse by a coincidental but ill-timed toilet paper shortage on the island. Adam finds out that he has 10 half-siblings in California who are crime bosses, and each one plans to move to Hawaii to cause trouble. Junior's father finally finishes the outdoor deck he had been working on for three years, only to have it blow away during a major storm. Junior must race to hire a crew to rebuild it before his father wakes up in the morning and notices.

    Thanks for posting this, Todd. Looks like they planned more episodes than are being broadcast this season, where the total is only 22 instead of the usual 24 or 25, including the one above. So this one will be in the real "next season." I recognized the writing style in the synopsis you posted as that of Cromwell, the "new" member of the C/H/Q writing team (see http://www.fiveohomepage.com/chq.htm). I think Cromwell may have sent me something about this, but yesterday I almost "bricked" my computer trying to upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 (a true story), so I think his e-mail might have gotten lost in the chaos.
