The Haiku Stairs were made famous by the MAGNUM PI episode “J. Digger Doyle” back in 1981 where Magnum is carrying Higgins on his back up the stairs. Erin Gray is with them too. It was a very obvious dummy (not John Hillerman) that was on Selleck’s (or a stuntman’s) back.
