Thanks for the post. Henry Silva was an excellent actor and I've seen him in villain or bad guy roles. Remember him as a young kid he played the psycho villain in Sharkey's Machine. Enjoyed his acting in Savage Sunday. Elpidio sure was a tough customer fighting in the battles and wars in his country. A leader of a man. Liked the scene when elpidio descended the rope in the armory. One of the few times McGarrett had some genuine respect for a criminal. Filer was another one. Elpidio showed McG all the scars of war he had received. McG did his best to see elpidio wasn't shot to death in the end. Also, an ambulance 🚑 to take him to treat his wounds. Plus, his blood loss. 95 is a good and long life. RIP Henry Silva. JC

I thought it was McGarrett who descended on the rope, Elpidio was on the ground making trouble.

For me Silva will always be best remembered for all those crime/action flicks of the 70s and 80s. He really had a striking and scary face in those! Love and Bullets with Charles Bronson, Sharky’s Machine with Burt Reynolds, Code of Silence with Chuck Norris, Above the Law with Steven Seagal.

He threatened Chuck Norris with a “Colombian neck-tie” in Code of Silence. Yikes!

Yes, you are right about McG on the rope. Was writing fast. He descended down and elpidio missed him. He saw McG and fired and missed. JC

Remembering there was a volley of shots as a diversion so McG could climb down the rope. Elpidio swung around noticing McG on the rope firing. Missed him and McG was fortunate there. Silva was a great actor and part of Classic HFO alumni. Has my respect. JC
